Enrol For This Course
All InTuition courses include spare time – it’s important to have the chance to relax, both for the student and the teacher! Students also have additional work assigned, which needs to be completed outside lesson time.
Students have two afternoons or evenings a week where their host tutor will accompany them on a local excursion or activity, taking into account the student’s interests and preferences.
Outside of these times, students are welcome to relax in their host tutor family’s home – perhaps catching up on emails or other work – or take the time to explore the area independently. Host tutors will provide full support with using public transport, and other expert guidance about what is available to see and do where they live.
We choose our host tutor families carefully. The number one thing we look for – other than quality of teaching – is their ability to offer a warm and friendly welcome to all students who come into their home. This means that it is very unlikely that any student won’t get on with their host tutor family – in fact, in most cases they quickly become very good friends.
As part of our course application service for international students, we issue all documentation required and have it couriered directly to you, for a small fee.
If, for whatever reason, your visa is refused, we guarantee a full refund of your entire course fee.
Please contact us if you have any questions about applying for a Short Term Study visa to study with InTuition.
We have a number of host tutors with a wealth of experience and training in teaching students with disabilities, including learning, visual and auditory.
For students that are not fully independent, we are happy to arrange for an accompanying carer to join them on their programme for a special discounted rate. Many carers choose to take an English course during their stay, too, in which case our standard 2:1 fees apply.
We have a number of teachers in the UK and Ireland that have wheelchair-accessible homes
For us to best serve the student and offer a unique learning and cultural experience it is fundamental that we receive full details of the student’s learning and motor skills during the enquiry process.
We only work with the best tutors. We personally interview them and inspect their accommodation, before they join our team. They will have a recognised qualification to teach English as a foreign language and in most cases a honours degree and experience in both teaching and hosting.
We take great care in getting to know our students and teachers in order to successfully match them together.
Based on the information you provide about your reasons for studying, your priorities and interests, our Placements team carefully select the right tutor for you. They then send you a very detailed Host Tutor Profile, outlining the teacher’s background, expertise, home, family and location. You choose whether to accept their recommendation or not – you’re always 100% in charge.
ll students must take out suitable travel insurance before commencing their InTuition Languages home tuition programme.

At the end of each course, host tutors prepare an End of Course Report which tells students what they have studied, how much they have improved, and what they need to do to continue improving their English. Students also receive a certificate of attendance via email shortly after their course finishes.
InTuition Vis-a-Vis® online tutoring helps students continue developing their language skills after they return home.
