Always bring any materials you wish us to work on or for us to help you with. You are the most important "resource" for the teacher. We can base the course around your needs and interests, so the more information you bring the better. In addition, a good dictionary is very useful.
Regarding clothing: informal casual clothes are normal. Sometimes your teacher may ask that you bring smart evening wear if they have plans to go out to a formal event. If you are coming to the UK or Ireland it is advisable to bring some warm clothes and the obligatory rain gear for most of the year - unfortunately!
