Alan is CELTA trained and has a degree in French and Law. As well as substantial teaching and hosting experience, Alan worked 30 years with The Bank of England. He was awarded an MBE for services to finance, June 2005. When not teaching Alan is a self employed management consultant.
Home/location
They live in a three bedroom, detached house in the ancient North Gloucestershire town of Tewkesbury. Gloucester and Cheltenham are both only seven miles away and each is easily accessible by bus. Tewkesbury is an historic town which is very popular with tourists and has numerous restaurants, pubs, hotels and places to visit. The house is a 10 minute walk from the town centre but is quietly situated.
Student's room
A comfortable, newly decorated and pleasantly furnished room with a nice view over the rear garden. There is plenty of storage space and a desk for study. Wifi internet connection is available.
Family/interests
Alan enjoys sports, reading, cinema, travel, fine food and wine. Susan's hobbies include tennis, music, keeping fit, puzzles and travel.
Pets
They have an ancient Pointer dog as well as a friendly cat.
Smoking
Theirs is a non-smoking household. They would accept smokers who only smoke outside.
