Homestay Tutor in Wirral, England

Brenda holds the qualification Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults (DTEFLA). She used to be a British Council Schools inspector, so she knows the standards that should be offered better than anyone. Brenda also holds a PGCE (Secondary) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing Advanced Certificate in Marketing Management Practice.

Her EFL teaching experience includes running her own language school and teaching English for many years at all levels.

Home/location

Brenda lives in Wirral, a peninsula between Liverpool and Chester. Wirral has many interesting places to visit with an astonishing countryside and beautiful beaches to walk along. The historic and vibrant cities of Liverpool and Chester are both 20 minutes away by train. North Wales is half an hour away and the Lake District is an hour away by road.

She lives in a detached house set in its own grounds in a tree-lined avenue leading to a nature reserve at the bottom of the road.

Student's room

The student's room is stylishly decorated and has a sunny aspect overlooking the garden. There is also a second study bedroom, which has a very comfortable futon style bed. A student who smokes, would be required to do so in the garden.

Family/interests

Brenda was born in 1952 and her interests include art, cinema, cooking, current affairs, sports, languages and fashion. She enjoys a nice walk in Wales every weekend.

She has two adult children, who live in London and Madrid.
