Homestay Tutor in Edinburgh, Scotland
Lynne has extensive EFL teaching experience both in the UK and abroad. She was the Director of Studies at a language school in Edinburgh and has taught Business and Scientific English and English for Academic Purposes. In recent years she has focused on hosting and teaching in her own home. She also runs courses in Public Speaking and Communication. Her partner, David, is a Principal Computing Officer at Edinburgh University.
Home/location
They live in a semi-detachted, early Victorian villa flat with five bedrooms in Edinburgh, Scotland. The front and rear gardens have open views to the Pentland Hills. Their home is in the attractive Morningside district of the city, which was originally a small village and retains a strong sense of community.
Student's room
The student's room is a tastefully decorated room. The use of a private bathroom may be guaranteed by payment of the prestige option. There is also a small, comfortable room on the ground floor. There is a broadband connection in every room, so internet can be accessed when students bring their own laptop.
Family/interests
Lynne (1949) and David have three children: Vivian (1983), Miranda (1985), and Jerome (1988). All three do not live at home anymore, but they often visit during the holidays. The family is interested in music, films, theatre, reading, walking, swimming, computing and painting. Lynne is interested in cooking and in Scottish/British heritage.
Pets
They have 3 cats and a dog.
