Karen has been hosting language students for over 20 years and has taught all ages from young teenagers through to mature students. She has a relaxed style to encourage students.

Home/location

The market town of Wokingham lies approximately 50 km to the west of London. It is situated in the Royal County of Berkshire, and is convenient for travel for international visitors, being on the main railway line from London (Waterloo) to Reading. It is also ideally situated for visiting many places of interest including London, Oxford, Windsor, Winchester and Henley-on-Thames.

Student's room

Two student rooms are available on the upper (first) floor. One is fitted with a double and one with a single bed. Private bathroom facilities are available on request. Wi-fi internet connection is available.

Family/interests

Karen and Peter are in their 50s. They have one son, who is now studying in London. They belong to the Wokingham Town Twinning Association which operates exchange social visits with twin towns in France and Germany. They are also members of the National Trust - which cares for many national heritage sites and buildings.

Pets

They have a cat.

Smoking

No smoking in the house, but in the garden is okay.
