Julia has a TEFLA Diploma, a Certificate of Education in FE and HE (Adult). She has taught EFL in colleges and has taught and hosted students in her home.

Home/location

Julia lives in West Kirby in Merseyside. West Kirby is on the North West tip of the Wirral Peninsula. They live in a large Victorian house, opposite a park with tennis courts, 5 minute walk to the sea and a sports centre. There are numerous pubs and restaurants nearby. A local Sailing Centre offers courses for beginners to advanced levels. Windsurfing courses are also available.

Student's room

Several comfortable rooms are available. They have the facility to offer a private bathroom. This private use may be guaranteed by payment of the Prestige Option.

Family/interests

Julia likes cooking, eating, walking, cycling and is interested in languages. She speaks French and Spanish. Her husband Malcolm likes computers, running and ham radio. He speaks German too. They have 4 grown up children living away but who often visit them at home.
