Valerie has the Trinity TESOL Cert and a B.SC. in languages. She has extensive homestay one-to-one experience and used to run her own business.

Home/location

They live in a beautiful detached house on the coast at West Looe. The house enjoys commanding views over East Looe beach, Looe Bay and St Georges Island. It is very peaceful and yet only 5 minutes' walk from local pubs and restaurants. It is a marvellous place for walking.

Student's room

A comfortable, well-furnished room with a beautiful view onto the New Forest. They have two rooms for students. One has the option to offer private bathroom facilities if this option is taken.

Family/interests

Valerie and her partner Tony are interested in walking, theatre, alternative therapies, birds, shopping, music, fishing, boating, swimming and English and British Heritage. She is a member of the National Trust.

Pets

They have a Weimaraner dog and 4 cats.
