Bob is a former Global Sales Development Manager and Export and Key Accounts Manager with many years of business experience in various large international companies in the drinks business. He also holds the LCCI Certificate for Teaching English for Business from International House London and specialises in sales/marketing, negotiating, training, change management and presentations. He speaks German, French and some Spanish.

Home/location: 

They live in 4-bedroom detached, modern house in a friendly and quiet location. There is pleasant garden and it is only 10 minutes on foot to shops, restaurants and a bank. The city centre is 3 miles away (local buses run very regularly and take less than 20 mins) and it is 2 miles to a Regional Shopping Centre and cinemas. Within 1 hour by car is the coast, hills for walking and beautiful forests. Within 2 hours by car there is a scenic coastline with good beaches. London is only 90 minutes by train. Bob is happy to take students into Bath for a visit, it's only 14 miles away.

Bristol is a busy commercial centre with two universities, an attractive dockside area, cinemas and theatres, nightlife, interesting old churches and other historical buildings.

Student's room:

Quiet, comfortable double bedded room or double room with own TV and tea and coffee making facilities. They have the facility to offer a private shower room and toilet. This private use may be guaranteed by payment of the Prestige Option.
Family members/interests: Bob is interested in football, classic cars and ephemera and post card collecting. Margaret likes antiques (glass), historic houses, cooking and English history. Both Bob and Margaret like walking

They have none.

Smoking:

Theirs is a non-smoking household. They would accept smokers who only smoke outside the house.
