Janet has a PhD in Education. She also holds the RSA Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language to adults. Her partner, Geoff, is a PGCE qualified teacher as well as CELTA trained . He is also a web designer and a qualified chef.
Home/location
They live in a three-storey Victorian terraced house, built in 1904. The house has been modernised, but retains many of the period features including high ceilings and attractive fireplaces. They have a pretty garden with a sitting area by a small pond, and an outdoor eating area with a small barbecue.
They live in the historic village of Bournville, which is a quiet oasis in the big city of Birmingham. There are three large parks within walking distance. All sorts of leisure activities are possible in the area: tennis, fishing, bowling, swimming, fitness, and golf. The train will take you to Birmingham in approximately 15 minutes.
Student's room
The main student room is an attractive and tastefully furnished bedroom with a comfortable double bed, a desk, storage space, and plenty of natural light. It is also possible to arrange a separate room with twin beds.
Family/interests
Janet, born in 1965, is interested in international travel, radio, pets (ferrets), gardening, and entertaining friends. She has a good sense of humour. Her husband, Geoff, likes art, cinema, computers, current affairs, literature, outdoors, and travelling, among some other hobbies.
Pets
They have none inside, but they have 6 ferrets that live outside.
