English Homestay Tutor in Suffolk, Ipswich

David and his wife are both qualified to teach English as a foreign language. David is DELTA qualified and Jood holds a CELTA certificate. David worked as a Teacher and Director of Studies at some leading British Council language schools in the UK and International House in Portugal.

Home/Location

They live in a beautiful detached cottage built in the 16th century. It is in the countryside but just 10 minutes outside Ipswich, the capital of Suffolk. Their house is set in 5 acres of organic vegetable gardens and apple orchards. London is accessible by train. Cambridge is 60 minutes away by train while Aldeburgh, the famous seaside resort, is only 40 minutes away.

Student’s Room

A large comfortable room which overlooks the front lawn, the fields and the fruit trees of the apple orchards.

Family/Interests

They are very hospitable people and interested in their guests. They are vegetarians and spend a lot of time preparing excellent food. They grow fruit and vegetables and keep hens for fresh eggs. They like gardening, music, singing and cooking.
