Did you choose or your employer?
It was a joint decision between my employer and myself. I chose the school and the dates myself, although someone else in the organisation had been before and had a good experience.
How much choice did you have?
Our company has about 6 schools in the UK and Ireland to choose from.
Why did you choose a homestay course and in particular InTuition Languages?
I wanted to maximise my time and concentrate only on English. I decided on InTuition because they make efforts to select a teacher based on my needs and interests. They also had a choice of locations. I wanted to go to the countryside.
What is the best aspect of a total immersion course?
Constant exposure to the language. The teacher was professional but relaxed, it made me feel more comfortable about speaking.
Have you learnt things you couldn't learn in your own country?
Yes, I had the ability to immediately practise what I learnt in lessons and because I was studying all the time I made progress by building on language skills.
Who wouldn't you recommend this course to?
People who were not motivated, although it would work for people who wanted to combine a holiday and serious study I suppose.
