I have just spent a perfect week. I stayed with a family and had one-to-one lessons from the mother who was a really good English teacher. I gained so much experience and learnt so much about English Life. My teacher planned my lessons and taught me exactly what I wanted to know. Mrs Haley’s family were very kind and did a great deal for me, taking me places and arranging my trips for me. I visited many places, experienced many things and learnt about the differences between Japanese and English culture.

The scenery was wonderful and I loved going for afternoon tea in a small village. What I enjoyed most was the conversations with the family at dinner. They were patient with my English. The family atmosphere was very nice and I felt cosy, so I could join in their conversation without any effort. I became much more confident in using English and I have made some good friends in England. Next time I will stay longer.
